ask >> inquire/enquire (UK) = (v.) สอบถาม

โครงสร้างการใช้ที่น่าสนใจ
- inquire about (something) = ถามเกี่ยวกับ (เรื่องอะไร)
Ex. It would be inconsiderate to inquire about people’s salary and debts.

- inquire + (Wh-words) = ถามว่าอะไร (เช่น inquire when the project will be finished)
Ex. Mr. Hugh has called them and inquired whether the books will be ready before June.

ask for >> request = (v.) ขอร้อง, ขอความช่วยเหลือ

Ex. A group of scientists has requested more information about the newly discovered virus.

- be requested to (do) = ถูกขอให้ทำบางสิ่ง
