The Origin of Astronomy

Astronomy was the first natural science to reach a high level of sophistication and predictive ability, which it achieved already in the second half of the 1st millennium BCE. The early quantitative success of astronomy stems from several causes. First, the subject matter of early astronomy had the advantage of stability and simplicity—the Sun, the Moon, the planets, and the stars, moving in complex patterns, but with great underlying regularity. 

Second, the subject was easily mathematized, and in Greek antiquity, astronomy was frequently regarded as a branch of mathematics. This may seem a paradox to a modern reader since mathematized sciences are regarded as difficult. However, in ancient Babylonia and Greece, it was precisely because the motions of the planets could be subjected to mathematical treatment that astronomy made such rapid headway. And third, astronomy benefited from its close connection with religion and philosophy, which provided a social value that other sciences simply could not match.

In the pie charts, there are three countries are divided into Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada. They show the proportion of global water uses. Moreover, the table under also illustrated how much water is distribution in three ways, for example, agriculture, domestic use and industry.
The pie charts illustrate information about how the global water is distributed, and the table depicts the proportion of water used in agriculture, domestic use and industry in three different countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada.

Overview, we can see that salt water responsible for a majority of all water. And fresh water was come from ice and glaciers. Most water in Egypt and Saudi Arabia were being used for agriculture purposes. While in Canada it mainly was consumed in industry.

People in Egypt and Saudi Arabia used water around 85% with agriculture. They also used 10% and 15% water with industry and domestic usage, respectively. In contrast, people in Canadian consumed water 9%, 10% and 80% for agriculture, domestic and industry, consecutively.

It took me a lot of time to learn how to swim, maybe because I was afraid of water. When I was 10, a friend of mine pushed me into a swimming pool, and I was drowning. That was a terrible experience. Around 3 months later, I decided to get back at it again because I wanted to overcome my fear of water. Now, I can swim with my friends without fear.
The skill that I have now is computer designing. I had a passion for designing for a long time and started to learn about it since 7. I learned 2 major designing software such as Photoshop. Moreover, I have learned how to build web pages. I have gained the skill by practising a lot.
Well, for me, the hardest skill is playing the guitar. I learned it when I was young with my friends because I had many friends, and when they played and sang. So, I wanted to learn. At first it was a little difficult to be honest. But now it is very easy for me, and I have so much fun.

For me, everybody can learn new things if they put their mind to it. Some people cannot learn new things because they don’t have the energy, or patience or enough interest.
I think all skills require patience if you want to be very good at them, but for me, learning a language is a skill that needs a lot of patience because you have to practice consistently in order to master it, and you also need to apply the knowledge you learn to the real-world situations.
